SUMMARY:Fridays on the Canal
DESCRIPTION:Fridays on the Canal is a free summer concert series held at Canal Basin Square in downtown Scottsville\, Virginia. From 5–8 PM on select Fridays\, the park fills with live music\, food vendors\, local beverages\, and families enjoying a laid-back evening along the James River. It’s one of Scottsville’s favorite summer traditions — bringing the community together through music\, food\, and the charm of a small river town. \nFounded and organized by Ben and Jacqueline Rullman\, owners of Mr. Z’s BBQ\, along with the Scottsville Chamber of Commerce\, Fridays on the Canal is created\, produced\, and sustained through volunteer effort\, local sponsors\, and community support.​ \n​Fridays on the Canal is hosted at Canal Basin Square and made possible in part by the Town of Scottsville\, which provides the venue\, public facilities\, and municipal support for this community event.
