Scottsville Task Force 17 is now collecting donations to transport to areas near Asheville, North Carolina, which was devastatingly impacted by Hurricane Helene. Volunteers will be accepting contributions at various locations until October 19th. They are looking for everything from non-perishable food items and baby food to toiletries and feminine hygiene products to pet food and supplies. See full list below.
Donations can be taken to the town office from 9am-4pm today until the 19th. From Saturday, October 5th through Saturday, October 12th, donations can be brought to the upper parking lot at the Scottsville Shopping Center. From Sunday, October 13th through Saturday, October 19th, donations can be brought to the Canal Basin Square parking lot.
