Earlier this week, the town of Scottsville Police Department responded to reports of stolen vehicles from homes and businesses within the town limits. According to Police Chief Greg Jenkins, three vehicles have been stolen within the town limits this year, one last summer and two last week.
The police’s investigation led them to a suspect, though no further details were released due to the age of the culprit. The department was able to recover all the vehicles.
Chief Jenkins wants to remind town residents and visitors to remove their valuables and keys from vehicles when parked. He said that the suspect was targeting vehicles with keys inside them.
