SES PTO hosts holiday shop for students

Students at Scottsville Elementary School got a special treat before winter break as the PTO hosted a holiday shop for them. It wasn’t just any holiday shop, though. Instead of students shopping with their own money, every child got to select two unique gifts for the important people in their lives, completely free.

“It’s hard to put into words just how special it was,” said Colleen Smith, PTO president. “This day simply wouldn’t have been possible without Ellie Riley. From the initial idea to flawless execution and heartfelt explanations to every class, Ellie made magic happen.”

Moms, dads, bonus parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and even some of the SES staff members, were recipients of these special gifts that the students picked with so much care and pride. The PTO would like to say a huge thank-you to all the moms and grandmas who donated their time, helping the kids shop and wrap, to make the day go seamless and extra special for everyone involved.

Hope everyone enjoys their winter break!
