Join CSA member, Gabby Gammon, for a hands-on fermentation workshop at Bellair Farm’s first Second Saturday event of the year! Drawing on two years of experience fermenting vegetables (including all the CSA veggies grown right at Bellair Farm), Gabby will guide you through the basics of transforming fresh, seasonal produce into flavorful, gut-friendly ferments.
In this class, you’ll learn the foundations of fermentation, including salt ratios, safe practices, and flavor-building techniques. Whether you’re brand new or looking to refine your skills, you’ll leave with the confidence to start fermenting at home—and a deeper connection to the food grown right here on the farm.
Come ready to taste, learn, and get your hands involved in the process. Never get tired of greens season again!
$50/person ($25 for 2026 CSA Member)
In addition to learning the new skill of fermentation, your ticket includes all the supplies you will need to ferment at home all season long. This includes: a quart sized wide-mouth mason jar, glass weights, a fermentation lid/air lock lid, ph strips, and sea salt. Bring your own greens, mixing bowl, notepad, and muddler (if you have one).
Meet at the barn store and caravan up to the Bellair Kitchen/Dairy Barn.
