The days are cooling down and Antioch Baptist Church is looking toward the holiday giving season! In August, Antioch began their yearly Operation Christmas Child donation collection with a new special guide.

“It brings our church and community together while sending the love and story of Jesus around the world,” said Adrianna Wilder, the church’s head of Operation Christmas Child.

Since 1993, Samaritan’s Purse has provided an Operation Christmas Child shoebox gift to more than 220 million children in over 170 countries and territories. Local ministry partners hand out these tangible expressions of God’s love at child-friendly, Gospel-focused outreach events. Afterward, many of the boys and girls are invited attend The Greatest Journey discipleship program. Through 12 Bible lessons, children learn how to follow Christ and share Him with others. They tell friends and family what they are learning, and more people out their faith in Christ-and go on to tell still others. Through these dynamic evangelism and discipleship efforts, believers and churches are multiplying!

Every year, Antioch Baptist Church packs shoe boxes to send out. You can help them in collecting items for the boxes. Each Sunday, Antioch has a different set of items that are being collected for that week. If you would like to donate, please contact the church office at (434) 286-6315 to schedule item drop off.
