Last Friday, kindergarteners from Scottsville Elementary School kicked off a wonderful new tradition during “Planting with the Principals.”

“Our youngest learners got their hands dirty planting and watering seeds in our brand-new community garden!” Principal Cyndi Wells said. “We look forward to seeing more classes, families and volunteers come together to help this special project bloom throughout the year.”

The school welcomes community members who’d like to volunteer in the garden as well, Wells added. For more information, contact the school at SESFrontOffice@k12albemarle.org or (434) 286-2441.
