The 2025–2026 Patriot’s Pen Essay Competition is now open through VFW Post 8169! 
This annual scholarship program gives 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students the chance to express their love for our country through a 300–400 word essay. This year’s theme is “How are you showing patriotism and support for our country?”
National Prize: $5,000 scholarship
