This Thanksgiving, a night out in Scottsville can help put a holiday meal on a local family’s table.

On Wednesday, November 11, several Scottsville restaurants and eateries are joining together to support the James River Good Works Group’s Thanksgiving food basket project. When you dine at one of the participating businesses, 10–20% of your check will be donated to help provide Thanksgiving food baskets for local families in need. Last year, 42 local families received Thanksgiving baskets. This year, the goal is to reach 50 families!

Participating businesses include Amici’s Italian Bistro, Luvin’ Oven, Tavern on the James, Mr. Z’s BBQ and James River Brewery. Whether you stop in for lunch, dinner or an evening drink, your meal can help make Thanksgiving a little brighter for a neighbor.
