There will be speakers, music selections from Central Virginia Christian School & St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary, as well as children’s activities including face painting and crafts. In addition, the County will be providing a free hot dog lunch. The lawn will also feature a Colonial Encampment, and the newly restored Old Courtroom will be open to the public as well.
We will be ringing the courthouse bell 250 times to commemorate our independence, and invite any kids in attendance to join in on the ringing of the bell.
We kindly ask that people use the staff entrance to the courthouse to park. Overflow parking is located at the Maysville Presbyterian Church and behind the House Wright Museum.
